July 26, 1943 – November 13, 2018
Janet "Jan" Kathleen Cubbage, age 75, Wellington resident for most of her life, with a short time in Wichita and Georgia, passed away Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She had worked as a typesetter for Fullerton Printing for many years and also at Sumner Mental Health for several years before retiring to be a full time "Mimi" to Sienna.
Jan was born on July 26, 1943 in Wellington, KS to Anderson Davis Trotman and Esther L. (Kitterman) Trotman. She was raised in Wellington and was a graduate of Wellington High School with the Class of 1961.
Jan was very active in the community with BPW, Women's Chamber, Soroptimist, DWF, and also had co-chaired the Sumner County Wheat Festival. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, George, John, and Frank Trotman; one sister, Marilyn (Midge) Trotman; and daughter-in-law, Tamie Guilfoil Fletcher.
Survivors include her three children, Robb Fletcher of Wellington, Laurie Fletcher of Rockport, TX, and Gillian Cubbage of Wellington; one granddaughter, Sienna Cubbage and one step-grandson, Dalton Guilfoil.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Christian Church. Pastor James Byers will officiate.
In honoring Jan's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
