Jere Van Robinson, age 84, of Milan, KS passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Robert J. Dole V. A. Medical Center in Wichita, KS. He was a farmer and a rancher.
Jere V. Robinson was born on March 9, 1931 in Milan, KS to Forrest A. Robinson and Frances J. (Weyen) Robinson.
Jere served in the United States Air Force during the Korea War from January of 1951 to January of 1955.
Jere married Juanita (Jenny) Perez on January 4, 1971 in Oklahoma.
He enjoyed oil painting, spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, and eating exotic foods. He was a member of the Wellington American Legion and V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita (Jenny) Robinson of Milan; two daughters, Jena Thomas and her husband Charlie of Wellington and Zenda Johnston and her husband Dean of Orlando, FL; son, Richard Cabrera and his companion, Jennifer; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Anthony - St. Rose Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony – St. Rose Catholic Church on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
