Jerry Joe Higgins, age 67, lifelong Wellington resident, passed away November 5, 2018 at his home in Wichita, KS. He had worked at TECT Aerospace as a tool grinder for many years.

Jerry was born on April 28, 1951 in El Dorado, KS to Charles E. Higgins and Lela R. (Mayes) Higgins. He was a Wellington High School graduate with the Class of 1969. He served in the United States Navy from 1971 – 1983.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Higgins.

Survivors include his brother, Hugh Higgins of Wellington and two sisters, Katharine Myers and her husband Charles of Wichita, KS and Charlene Green of West Tawakoni, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
