Jo L. Karlin, age 82, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Wellington Health & Rehab in Wellington, KS.  Jo was a retired L.P.N. and had worked for many years at Wesley Medical Center.

Jo L. (Felkins) Karlin was born on May 3, 1938 in Colorado Springs, CO to Norman Felkins and Jenny Jo VanVorhees.  She was raised in Wellington and then lived most of her adult life in Wichita.

She married James Francis Karlin on June 30, 1956 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wellington, KS.  He preceded her in death in December of 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; three daughters, Debra Karlin, Diane Karlin, and K. Dee Boyer; and one grandson, Jason Curry.

Survivors include her children, Dan Karlin and Denise Karlin both of Wichita, and Dana Sweetwood and her husband Greg of Georgia; seven grandchildren, Russ Gann, Charity Gann, Jeremy Karlin, Javona Flannery, Sean Bentz, Brandon Bentz, and Jamie Bentz; and 21 great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, KS on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 1:00 – 7:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Wichita Area Sexual Assult Center in lieu of flowers.  Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
