JoAnn Winn, age 63, loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at her home in Goddard, KS.

JoAnn (Sturgeon) Winn was born on June 29, 1950 in Wellington, KS to Kelso Eugene Sturgeon and Bessie Helen (Luster) Sturgeon. She was a 1968 graduate of East High School in Wichita, KS.

JoAnn married Lawrence Winn on July 15, 1988 in Sebring, FL. They had celebrated 25 years of marriage this past July.

JoAnn spent many years working with children and adults with disabilities at Rainbows United, Heartspring, and Starkey, Inc. Her entire life she spent doing what she loved most, that being taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Kane and Judy Hayes.

Survivors include her husband Lawrence Winn of Goddard, KS; two children, Anthony Devoll and his wife Kimberly of Goddard, KS and Amy Devoll of Goddard, KS; one brother, Kelso Sturgeon, Jr. of Henderson, NV; two sisters, Nancy Eyres of Wichita, KS and Sandra Ratliff of Wichita, KS; four grandchildren, Jayden, Logan, Bryson, and Wyatt Devoll all of Goddard, KS.

Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. John David Luton will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice and Victory in the Valley. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the Frank Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington, Wellington, KS 67152.
