John William Knox, age 40, passed away March 6, 2012 at his home in Wellington, KS.
John William Knox was born on December 15, 1971 in Wellington, KS to Marlin Dean Knox and Shirley JoAnne (Jones) Knox.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles Jones; Wyatt Marvin; Nicole Alexander and Randy Husser.
Survivors include his wife, Mandi Knox of Wellington, KS; two children, Caleb Joe Knox and Makayla Marie Knox both of Wellington, KS; three stepchildren, Rustyn Strickland of Wellington, KS, Shauntaye Booth and Mataya Booth both of Arkansas City, KS; one brother, Leonard Knox and his wife Starla of Grove, OK; four sisters, Brenda Church and her husband Ron of Wellington, KS, Etta Frakes and her husband Richard of Douglass, KS, Arlene Mitchelle of Winfield, KS, and Kathy Alexander and her husband Kelly of El Dorado, KS; 10 nieces; seven nephews; and 27 great nieces and nephews.
A "Celebration of Life" reception for John will be held at the American Legion on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 2:00 – 5:00 P.M.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
A memorial has been established with the "Knox Children's Education Fund." Memorials can be taken to Security State Bank or the American Legion.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
