Obituary
John H. McNett, age 84, passed away September 3, 2006 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. He was a lifelong Wellington resident and a retired contractor.
John H. McNett was born on March 24, 1922 in Wellington, KS to Walter H. McNett and Hazel B (Evans) McNett.
On June 1, 1941 he married Wanda M. Jones in Riverdale, KS. They had just recently celebrated 65 years of marriage.
John served in the U. S. Army during WWII from 1945 to 1946.
Survivors include his wife Wanda McNett of Wellington, KS; one daughter Beverly McNett of Eugene, OR; one brother Chester McNett of Eastland, TX; one sister Patricia Orlando of Houston, TX; one grandson Johnathan Hinkle; and one great grandson Bryce Hinkle.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Pastor Sallie Shore of the First Christian Church will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
