Joni Renee Ford, age 43, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. She was a homemaker and life long Wellington and Mayfield resident.

Joni Renee (Hutchinson) Ford was born on May 5, 1966 in Wellington, KS to Gary L. Hutchinson and Novice Marlene (Barry) Hutchinson Hines. She attended schools in Wellington and graduated with the WHS Class of 1984. Joni attended floral school to become a florist and worked at Dillons in the floral department and also at Bob's Floral for several years.

Joni married Larry D. Ford on August 19, 1986 in Miami, OK.

She enjoyed working with Friendship Meals, on Mayfield projects, and was a care giver to those in need. She loved doing crafts, spending time with her family and friends, and was also known as an excellent baker and cook.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gary L. Hutchinson.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Ford of Mayfield, KS; her two loving dogs, Ruger and Hoss; mother and step-father, Marlene and Dale Hines of Wellington, KS; sister Julie Jenkins of Wellington, KS; grandmother, Lucerne Barry of Mayfield, KS; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the Mayfield Federated Church. Reverend Frank DeFisher will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Osborne Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Mayfield Community Building in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
