Joseph Vernon Edgerton, age 53, passed away on May 22, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. He was a truck driver for R. A. Ruud & Son Concrete Company and had been a Wellington resident since 1966.

Joseph Vernon Edgerton was born on July 15, 1956 in Newton, KS to Junior V. Edergton and Anna L. (Klein) Edgerton.

He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter.

Survivors include one son, Adam Edgerton of Belle Plaine, KS; one daughter, Tiffany Sharp of Winfield, KS; one step-daughter, Jennifer Seals of Caldwell, KS; his companion, Jona Edgerton of Wellington, KS; brother, Jeff Edgerton of Haysville, KS; two sisters, Marjie Taylor and Bridget Cody both of Wellington; six grandchildren; and "Buddy" the dog.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Joe Edgerton Memorial Fund. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
