Joyce Long, age 86, of Wichita, KS, passed away September 25, 2015 at her home. She was a homemaker.

Joyce (Gallagher) Long was born on August 3, 1929 in Wellington, KS.

On May 25, 1946, she married Glenn C. Long in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2010. Joyce and Glenn had resided in Salina, KS for 40 years where they owned and operated Long's Clothing Store before moving to Wichita in 2004.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and camping. She was a member of Eastern Star, Round Table Club, and was a volunteer in the gift shop at Salina Regional Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; infant son, David Glenn Long; two grandsons, Jeremy King and Ross Griffin; and infant granddaughter, Katherine Long.

Survivors include; one son, Dennis Long and his wife Sue of Salina, KS; three daughters, Glenna Weir and her husband John of Wichita, KS, Janna Long of Wichita, KS and Patricia Temple and her husband Chris of Bennington, KS; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 11:30 A.M. at Bethany Cemetery in Perth, KS. The Reverend Tom Welk will officiate.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.

A memorial has been established with the Wichita Humane Society. Contributions can be left at or mailed to Frank Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington Ave., Wellington, KS 67152.
