Karl Leon Segebartt, age 70, life-long Wellington resident, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2012 at his home in Wellington, KS. He was a planner at GKN.

Karl Leon Segebartt was born on January 5, 1942 in Wellington, KS to Karl Addison Segebartt and Leona (Newell) Segebartt. He graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1960. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964.

Leon was an avid Wellington Crusader fan and supporter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Leah Faye Segebartt; brother-in-law, Frank Trotman; and his step-father.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon K. Hamilton of Wellington, KS; one son, John Segebartt and his wife Karen of Oxford, KS; one daughter, Gaynell Markland and her husband Robert of Tulsa, OK; three brothers, Alan Segebartt and Gary Segebartt of Genesee, Idaho, and Denis Segebartt of Thornton, CO, one sister, Barbara Trotman of Ulysses, KS; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at the New Life Chapel, 2654 58th Drive, Udall, KS on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 6:00 P.M.

An additional Memorial Service will be held at the Wellington Football Field on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.
Memories of Leon will be most welcome. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Sharon K. Hamilton for expenses.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial has been established with the Wellington Crusader Club in lieu of flowers.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
