Obituary

Mrs. Katherine Lynn Fisk, age 70, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram, Georgia.

She was born on October 21, 1951 in Wellington, Kansas to Mrs. Ada Dola Allen and Mr. Marion Jesse Shore.

Kathi lived an amazing and full life. She grew up on her family's wheat farm in Wellington, Kansas. She was very proud of her heritage and spoke often of her childhood on the farm.

Kathi was married for 53 years to her high school sweetheart and, together, they were very passionate about their children and were doting grandparents.


An amazing artist, Kathi was a collector and supporter of local budding artists. Her art collection is very eclectic, unique, and admired by many.

If you ever needed to find Kathi, you could find her in her garden where her favorite flowers were her star-gazer lilies.

An avid reader, Kathi inspired all those around her to read and to appreciate many genres of books.


A fabulous baker and cook, Kathi loved to entertain and would make the holidays pure magic for her family with all her traditions that became so special to everyone. Christmas and Easter, in particular, were a highlight for her family, friends and neighbors. She was a great hostess and thrived having those she loved around her. Kathi always loved a good party!

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ada Dola Allen Shore; father, Marion Jesse Shore; brother, Don Shore; brother, Gail Shore.

Katherine is survived by her husband, John Fisk; daughter, Brenna Couch (Justin); daughter, Kelli McElreath (Shawn); daughter, Erin Fisk (Joe Fisk); grandchildren, Brady Couch, Bowie Couch, Keelin McElreath, Kinsey McElreath, Erik McElreath, Bella Fisk, Micah James Fisk, (Leif McElreath, Lindsey Reynolds); great grandchildren, Penny Reynolds, K.J. Reynolds; sister, Patricia Rawcliff; sister, Darlene Willis (Berle); sister in law, Rev. Sallie Shore; sister in law, Judy Shore; brother in law, Kelly Fisk (Brenda); mother-in-law, Vonell Iames; and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Mrs. Katherine Lynn Fisk will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at First Christian Church in Wellington, Kansas with Reverend Sallie Shore officiating.

Flowers will be accepted at First Christian Church in Wellington, Kansas.
