Keith Bernard Mortimer, age 84, lifelong resident of Milan, KS, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his home. He was a farmer and stockman in the Milan area most of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Keith B. Mortimer was born on December 26, 1929 in Bluff City, KS to Leonard G. Mortimer and Leveta Mae (Brittain) Mortimer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Helen L. Mortimer; daughter, Kathleen Cornwell; and brother, Jack Mortimer.
Survivors include one brother, Dan Mortimer and his wife A-Donna of Carthage, MO; three sisters, Joyce Tencleve and her husband Bernard of Mayfield, KS, Joann Morris of Indianapolis, IN and Doris Wedge of Norman, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews including, Dennis and Mindy Tencleve, Linda and Ronnie Metzen, Debbie and Rob Dorsey and Barbara Shannon, all locally. His right-hand Man, Nick Hilger of Conway Springs.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held at the Milan Cemetery on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10:00 A.M.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
A memorial has been established with the Mayfield Federated Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
