Obituary
Laura Oma Bowman, age 77, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Sumner Regional Medical Center.
Laura Oma (McCurry) Bowman was born on March 17, 1932 in Stillwater, OK to Barney M. McCurry and Forest D. (Moss) McCurry.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; two brothers, James and Eugene McCurry; and one grandson, Wesley K. Bowman.
Laura enjoyed spending time with her family, collecting country music albums, and writing children's stories.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Bowman and his wife Linda of Wellington, KS and Kenneth Bowman of Wellington, KS; two daughters, Shirley Mies of Wellington, KS and Patricia Stauffer of Denver, CO; one sister, Dellma Snyder of Wellington, KS; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the Frank Funeral Home. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M.
