Lawrence Michael "Mike" Anderson, age 58, passed away at his home Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He had worked as a carpenter for many years.

Lawrence Michael "Mike" Anderson was born on November 13, 1952 in Wellington, KS to Lawrence Edward Anderson and Letha Colleen (Spencer) Anderson. He was a graduate of Wellington High School with the Class of 1970.

Mike was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and working with his hands.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Andy" Anderson; his grandparents, Bill and Nina Spencer and Ruben and Margaret Anderson.

Survivors include one daughter, Jessica Beth Anderson of Colorado; his mother, Letha Anderson of Wellington; and one sister, Diane Johnson and her husband Eldon of Wellington.

Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Frank Funeral Home. Pastor Virgil Swift will officiate. A private family burial with be held at a later date.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A Memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association. Memorials can be left at the funeral home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
