Leslie Albert Brown, age 93, of Wellington passed away June 9, 2006 at Via Christi Medical Center – St. Francis in Wichita, KS. He was a breakman/conductor for the Santa Fe Railroad.
Leslie was born on August 15, 1912 in Oxford, KS to Robert C. and Honora M. (Tate) Brown.
Leslie was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Ethel; his second wife Kathleen; his son Roy Brown; three brothers Vern, Ronald, and Charles Brown; and two sisters Mary Scott and Margaret Evans.
Survivors include his wife Gay Brown; three sisters Gladys Armstrong of Wellington, Verna Middleton of Wellington, and LoRee Goodrum of Mayfield; and three grandchildren Les, Kenny and Helen Brown; six great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, June13, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. at Frank Funeral Home. Interment will be at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
A memorial has been established in his memory with the Wellington Food Bank. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 12, 2006 from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
