Obituary

Leslie (Les) Dean Davis, age 50, of Winfield, KS passed away on March 23, 2018 at his home.

Les was born on July 4, 1967 in Wellington, KS to Lonnie D. Davis and Shirley M. (McClure) Davis. He grew up in Wellington and graduated with the WHS Class of 1986.

Les had a number of short-term jobs in his work history. When he lived in Wellington, he had worked for Plessey-Midwest Division and the Wellington Police Department.

Les was a big Dallas Cowboys fan and his favorite dog was a dachshund, especially Ernie. He was an animal lover. He enjoyed reminiscing about the "good ole days," especially his growing up years. He loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and owned several motorcycles over the years. He also loved Ford pickups.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Grace Davis and Clifton and Maxine McClure and uncle, Allen Davis.

Survivors include his parents, Lonnie and Shirley Davis of Wellington, KS; sons, Justin Davis and his wife Teresa of Wellington, KS and Cody Davis and Keena Dierksen of Wichita, KS; sister, Susan Ott of Wellington, KS; grandchildren, Landon, Jayden, and Scarlett Davis, Taylin Davis and Landan Campbell; niece, Heather Wilder; nephews, Chirs Ott, J.T. Ott; great nephews, Luke Ott and Jaxson Wilder; uncle, Louie McClure and his wife Marie; and aunt, Peggy Parker and her husband Scott.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the First Christian Church on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor James Byers will officiate. There will be a private family interment at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS at a later date.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation.

Memorials have been established with the Cowley County Humane Society and the American Legion Post #90 in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
