Lila Maxine Deffenbaugh, 87, of Wellington, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Botkin Health & Rehab in Wellington, KS.
Lila Maxine (Wilson) Deffenbaugh was born on December 21, 1929 in Wildhorse, OK to Lyle Oram Wilson and Lois Belle (Springgate) Wilson.
Lila married Eugene M. Deffenbaugh on November 2, 1947 at the Church of Christ in Wellington, KS.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Carolyn Ancell; one son, Dave Deffenbaugh; one son in law, Rick Moore; one grandson, Troy Moore; two granddaughters, Gina Ancell and Abby Gail King; one step-granddaughter, Judy Bell Ancell; and one brother Richard Wilson.
Survivors include her loving husband of 69 years, Eugene Deffenbaugh of Wellington, KS; one son, Tom Deffenbaugh and his wife Debby of Benton, KS; two daughters, Cathy McKinney and her husband Duane of Washington, OK and Ann Pierce and her husband Ross of Enid, OK; seven grandchildren, James Moore of Wellington, KS, Sofie Lawless and her husband Greg of Derby, KS, Andy King and his wife Heather of Washington, OK, Ryan Deffenbaugh and his wife Staci of Wichita, KS, Carie Luethje and her husband Geoff of Stilwell, OK, Rachel Phillips and her husband Adam of Wichita, KS and Jace Deffenbaugh of Wellington, KS; 11 step-grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 19 step-great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. Mr. Michael Nelson will officiate.
Visitation will be held before the Graveside Service at the Church of Christ Fellowship Hall on March 23, 2017 from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with the Church of Christ in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
