Lillian Lola Lintecum, age 93, of Winfield, KS, formerly of the Mayfield and Wellington area, passed away at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield on Friday, January 2, 2015.

Lillian Lola (Carithers) Lintecum was born on September 25, 1921 in Pretty Prairie, KS to Calvin J. Carithers and Edith (Harter) Carithers. She was raised in Pretty Prairie and was a graduate of Pretty Prairie High School.

Lillian married Murl O. Lintecum on November 1, 1941 in Hutchinson, KS. He preceded her in death in 2004.

She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, traveling, bingo, game shows, puzzles, sewing, and embroidery work.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Murl; three children, Stephen Lintecum, Deanna "Dee Dee" Lintecum, and Roger Lintecum; sisters, Cleo Wiens, Leota Meng, Ellen Wiard, and Norma Black; and brothers, Donald Carithers and Guy Carithers.

Survivors include her four children, Jim Lintecum of Halstead, KS, Dana Lintecum of Winfield, KS, Terri Lintecum of Lawrence, KS, and Sandy Price of Wichita, KS; brother, Calvin Carithers;
grandchildren, Rochelle, Bryan, Cam, Ashley, Robin, Misty, Jennifer, Tagg, Matt, and Ollie;
13 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Val Warman will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
