Lois Vern Driskell, age 94, passed away on Wednesday morning, November 11, 2009 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS.

Lois Vern (Gracy) Driskell was born on November 4, 1915 at Garber, OK to Charles and Edye (Bruce) Gracy. She was raised on a farm near Garber and attended Garber High School.

On June 4, 1940 she married John E. Driskell in Enid, OK. They farmed near Garber until they moved to a farm near Corbin, KS in 1951. They lived there until they retired and moved to Perth, KS.

Lois loved being with family, especially at the holidays. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved to laugh, too. Everything seemed to be "funny" when she was with her twin sister, Lova. She was known to always be there if anyone was sick or needed help.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband John in 1995; and one brother, Charles Warren Gracy.

Survivors include her two children, Larry Driskell and his wife Marilyn of Wellington, KS and Pat Wright and her husband Steve of Prescott Valley, AZ; one brother, Eldon Gracy of Caldwell, KS; twin sister, Lova Driskell of Aquilla, TX; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Enid, OK. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 3:00 – 9:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
