Lois Cecil Stonehocker, age 87, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away early Thursday morning, January 24, 2013 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. She had been a resident of Wellington for most of her life and was a retired beautician and former owner and operator of "House of Beauty."
Lois Cecil (Arnett) Stonehocker was born on August 3, 1925 in Colfax, IL to Cecil W. Arnett and Edna Elizabeth (Warnock) Arnett.
She married Charles F. Stonehocker, Sr., on July 17, 1943 in ElPaso, TX.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Nancy Larson.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Stonehocker of Wellington, KS; three sons, John Stonehocker and his wife Sharon of Catoosa, OK, Charles Stonehocker, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Grand Junction, CO, and Lowell Stonehocker and his wife Pam of Saginaw, TX; one daughter, Ann Stagner of Arvada, CO; one brother, Wallace Arnett of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Allizana Jones of Denver, CO and Edna Ruth Freyler and her husband Bud of Lampe, MO; seven grandchildren, Shelley, Shonna, Misty, Troy, Anisa, Brandon and Jeremiah; and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 28, 2013 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.
