Loren "Joe" Kilmer, Jr., age 46, sailed away in the arms of his Savior early Tuesday morning, August 20, 2013 at his home in Winfield, KS after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joe was born on August 19, 1967 in Panorama City, California to Loren Joe Kilmer, Sr. and Opal Anita (Blakesley) Kilmer Goodson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Joe D. Goodson; and great nephew, Zackary Hollis.

Survivors include step-mother, Martha Kilmer of Winfield, KS; four sisters, Kim Hess and her husband Terry of Overland Park, KS, Joyce Hill and her husband Travis of Archer City, TX, Anji Spoon and her husband DelRoy of Winfield, KS, and Johanna Engro of Winfield, KS; one brother, David Kilmer of Winfield, KS; seven nephews, Latigo, Nathan, Thomas, Trey, Chris, Doyle, and Shane; five nieces, Kasha and her husband Josh, Amanda and her husband Jeremy, Kylie, Emily, and Shyann; 12 great nieces; one great nephew; nine uncles; six aunts; and many other family members and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at the South Haven Christian Church, South Haven, KS on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 1:30 P.M. Chaplain Don Cross will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Goodel Cemetery in Drury, KS.

The family will receive visitors from 12:30 P.M. to time of service in the fellowship hall at the church.

A memorial has been established with the Faith Mission in Wichita Falls, TX. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
