Louis M. Bright Jr. passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at his home in Wellington, Kansas surrounded by his family.
He was born January 3, 1944 the son of Louis and Nancy (Bray) Bright in Norfolk, Virginia.
Louis joined the United States Airforce in 1962, immediately after graduating from high school. He was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam Era. Soon after, he was stationed at McConnell Airforce Base in Wichita, Kansas until he was discharged in 1968. Louis settled in Wellington, Kansas, where he raised his children.
Louis is survived by his son Rhett Bright and Tiffany of Wellington, Kansas; his sister; Barbara Bright of Virginia; and his grandson, Braxton Bright of Wellington, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father Louis Bright, his mother Nancy Bright, and his son Rome Bright.
Cremation has taken place. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
