Obituary

Lynn Rae Browning Nusser died Monday, March 28, 2022 at her home in Wellington, KS.  She was born January 14, 1957 in Greensboro, NC to Hampton Eugene Browning and Rebecca Ann (Evans) Browning.  She grew up in Greensboro and attended school there.  She was a competitive roller skater and won several local and regional competitions as a youth.

Lynn moved to Lewisville, TX in 1977 where she met Bob.  They were married in Dallas, TX on March 6, 1982.  Their son Robert was born in 1983.

Lynn worked at the Dallas Morning News, Bright Banc, Child Evangelism Fellowship and the City of Richardson, TX.  Bob and Lynn then began a career working with children.  They served at Children's Homes in Oklahoma and Texas, working primarily with teenage girls in the foster care system.

Lynn became a Christian in 1985 and spent many years working with children and youth in the local church.  She especially loved leading Vacation Bible School and directing Children's Musicals.  She loved to sing and served on worship teams and as a worship leader at different churches.

When Bob became a pastor, Lynn served in the local schools as a secretary and as a para-professional.  She retired from USD #353 in January, 2022.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Bob of the home in Wellington; son, Robert (Abra) and  granddaughter, Clara Pauline Nusser of Euless, TX; one sister, Elinor (Mike) McLennon, Edmond, OK; brother, Steven (Tina) Browning of Walkerton, NC; brother Grady Watkins, Lewisville, TX; and four nephews; two nieces; and a great nephew and a great niece.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Wellington.  The Reverend Richard Brunson will officiate.  Burial will follow at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 1:00 – 7:00 P.M.  The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Lynn's name with the Wellington-Slate Valley Fellowship.  Memorials can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
