Mabel LoRee Goodrum, age 95, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, passed away Thursday evening, September 6, 2018 at Sumner Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and had been a Mayfield, KS resident since 1949.

LoRee was born on July 19, 1923 in rural Oxford, KS to Robert Charles Brown and Honora Mabel (Tate) Brown. She was raised in the Dalton, KS area and was a graduate of Wellington High School.

LoRee married Vernon Edgar Goodrum on July 21, 1940 in Oxford, KS. He preceded her in death in 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; son, Robert Goodrum; daughter-in-law, Rose Goodrum; grandsons, Michael Goodrum and Rick Goodrum; brothers, Verne Brown, Ronald Brown, Charles Brown and Les Brown; sisters, Margaret Evans, Mary Scott, Verna Middleton, and Gladys Armstrong;

Survivors include her children, Dick Goodrum of Mayfield, Marilyn (Corky) Howell of Wellington, and Judy (Doug) Moser of Wellington; daughter-in-law, Judy Goodrum of Wellington; grandchildren, Kirk (Dawn) Howell, Derek (Diana) Howell, Carri Miles, Darin (Tracy) Goodrum, Lori (Rick) Phelps, Amy (Bill) Mott, Brian (Bonnie) Goodrum, Joshua (Angie) Struble, Christa (Chipper) Settle, Amy Moser Atkins, Nolan Moser, and Katherine (Aaron) Norton; 34 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Mayfield Federated Church on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor Valjean Warman and Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, September 9, 2018 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with the Mayfield Federated Church and the Wellington Food Bank. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
