Margaret May Hain, 78, of Wellington, passed away Tuesday morning, March 14, 2017 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospice – Harry Hynes Hospice Unit in Wichita, KS. She was a farmer and a homemaker.
Margaret May (Ancell) Hain was born on May 15, 1938 in Wellington, KS to George Carson Ancell and Rosa Jane (Love) Ancell. She was a graduate of Wellington High School.
Margaret married Forrest L. Hain on February 6, 1954 in Miami, OK. They had celebrated 53 years of marriage before Forrest passed away on May 3, 2007.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest; four brothers, William Raymond, Jack, Floyd, and Henry Ancell.
Survivors include her three children, Melvin Hain and his wife Carolyn of Wellington, KS, Becky Hackney and her husband Howard of Haysville, KS, and Peggy Tevington and her husband Brian of Conroe, TX; two brothers, Jon Ancell of Seattle, WA and Francis Ancell of Oxford, KS; eight grandchildren, Ryan Hain and his wife Kelly, Rachelle (Hain) Jesseph and her husband Charlie, Megan (Hackney) Demirci and her husband Ferhat, Travis Hackney, Jarod Hackney and his wife Holly, Jon Tevington, Jenny (Tevington) Supon and her husband Theodore, Jr., and Bary Tevington and his wife Leslie; and 20 great grandchildren, Adrianna Hackney, June Hackney, Duffy Hackney, Olive Hackney, Gwen Tevington, Katherine Tevington, Renae Supon, Abby Hain, Chance Hain, Chandler Hain, Morgan Hain, Steven Hain, Hunter Hain, Owen Hain, Kaitlyn Hain, Jayden Hain, Kayl Jesseph, Grady Jesseph, Brogan Jesseph, and Keav Jesseph.
Funeral Services will be held at the Mayfield Federated Church on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. Pastor Val Warman will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Union Chapel Cemetery in Mayfield, KS.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 16, 2017 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Margaret's name with the Mayfield Community Building Fund. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
