Margaret (Marge) LaFary Vondracek, age 86, of Hazelton, KS passed away on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.

Marge was born on May 31, 1924 to John J. Foley and Mary B. (Kingsley) Foley in Wellington, KS. She was a 1942 graduate of Wellington High School.

Marge married Harold Mike LaFary in March 1943. He preceded her in death in 1989 after 46 years of marriage. She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Dallas, TX in 1985 and she served as manager of the Wellington Senior Center for a number of years.

Marge married Paul Vondracek of Hazelton, KS in the summer of 2008.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Mike LaFary; daughter, Mary Margaret Hester; brothers, Harry and Larry Foley; and sisters, Dorothy Harms and Donna Farley.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Vondracek of Hazelton, KS; daughter, DeeAnn Lyon and her husband, Amil of Norman, OK; Vondracek children, Greg, Steve, James and his wife Carol, DeAnne Potter, Darla Smith and her husband Steve, Jean VanNess and her husband Randy; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church. Rosary will be held at the church on Thursday evening, January 20, 2011 at 7:00 P.M.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
