Margret Y. Moore, age 92, passed away at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, KS on January 20, 2009. She was a long time Wellington resident and a retired school teacher.
Margret (York) Moore was born on October 17, 1916 in Wichita, KS to Raymond A. and Bernice A. (Seeley) York.
Margret married Delbert G. Moore on May 28, 1939 in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2000.
She was a member of W.A.A.R.S.P., Kappa Kappa Iota, and Kappa Rho (Alpha Phi) Alumni.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Delbert; one son, York I. Moore; and one brother, Rayburn York.
Survivors include her daughter, Delgene Moore-Sealey of Wellington, KS; one sister,
Lorene York Brown of Burke, VA; one grandson, Darrin Sealey and his wife Christine of Littlestown, PA; great grandchildren, Jason, Nellie, Christopher, and Hope; and four great great grandchildren, Elijah, Seth, Carter, and Nicole.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside Services will be held in the spring.
A memorial has been established with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Contributions can be left or mailed to the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
