Marie Kogle, 84, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 21, 2023. She was residing at Villa Maria in Mulvane, KS at the time of her passing but was a former resident of both Wellington and Oxford, KS.

Marie was born the daughter of Sterling and Captolia (Webb) Brown on August 6, 1939 in Wewoka, OK. Marie went on to marry her high school sweetheart, David Kogle, and the two spent 66 wonderful years together before his passing in 2021.

A humble and loving woman, Marie was a beacon of support in her family and community. She was a talented homemaker, investing her time and energy into creating a warm and welcoming environment for her loved ones. Marie was an avid reader and was skilled at sewing, crocheting, and creating beautiful homemade gifts. Her love for nature was evident in her fondness for visiting the mountains and fishing. Marie also served her community in many ways. She taught Sunday school, led a Cub Scout troop, and was active on the PTA at school and the CWF at her church. Her devotion to her faith and family was recognized and admired by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Kris (Jerry) Dennis of Monte Vista, CO; daughter, Tammy (Larry) Bartelson of Oxford, KS; and son, Robbie (Joann) Kogle of Wellington, KS; grandchildren: Adrian (Danny) Walck of Collbran, CO; Arrin Dennis of Olathe, CO; Chad (Jodie) Bartelson of Williamsburg, VA; Shelly (Adam) Russell of Gilbert, AZ; Ross (Lonna) Bartelson of Wellington, KS; Bryce Bartelson of Wichita, KS; Robin (Dustin) Franke of Wellington, KS; Kailey (Aaron) Jones of Caldwell, KS; Austin (Tish) Kogle of Wellington, KS; 31 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, Connie Fletcher of Wichita, KS and Martha Kogle of San Diego, CA and some might say above all, her beloved dog, Kimi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Captolia Brown; her beloved husband, David Kogle, brother, Eugene Brown, and sister, Martha Jo Morgan.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends.

Funeral Services will be held at the Oxford Christian Church, 120 W. Clark St., Oxford, Kansas on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Danny Ginn will officiate.  Interment will follow the service at Osborne Cemetery in Mayfield, KS.

Memorials have been established with the Oxford Christian Church or the Wellington Humane Society in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be mailed or left at the funeral home.
