Mark Anthony Viramontes, age 44, passed away on October 31, 2006 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center St. Francis in Wichita, KS after a long battle with respiratory problems.

Mark Anthony Viramontes was born on Father's Day, June 18, 1962 in Wellington, KS. to Lauro A. Viramontes and Gabriela C. (Chavez) Viramontes . Everyone thought he was his dad's spitting image.

Mark attended schools in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1980. He then graduated from Cowley County Junior College and also attended Wichita State University. He worked in the health related fields. He also enjoyed working with elderly people and also loved to play Bingo.

He will be missed by his family for his sense of humor, love of life, and calling Bingo.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, his sister Mary Christine, and his nephew Rick Hilaro.

Mark is survived by his mother Gabriela Viramontes of Wellington; his sisters Linda Sloan and her husband Drew of Excelsior Springs, MO, Linda Torrez of Wellington, KS, Cynthia Rico and her husband Joaquin of Wellington, KS, Debbie Savala and her husband Alfred of Arkansas City, KS, Teresa Hanna and her husband Dale of Ellinwood, KS; brothers Fred Viramontes and his wife Loretta of Wellington, KS, Robert Viramontes of Wellington, KS, and Tony Martinez of Wichita, KS; 18 nieces and nephews; and 8 great nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wellington Steak House Banquet Room.
