Obituary

Marlyn L. Ray, age 79, of Argonia, KS passed away early Monday morning, March 8, 2010 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS.

Marlyn L. (Waggoner) Ray was born on November 19, 1930 in Anthony, KS to Dorsey D. Waggoner and Lily Ogle (Ford) Waggoner.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert D. Ray in 1969; son, Donald L. Ray; daughter, Diana Bond; brothers, Delvia, J.C., Benny, Harold and George Waggoner; sisters, Rita Carothers, Darlene Waggoner, and JoAnn Galusha.

She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her pets and collecting her "treasures."

Survivors include two sons, Dexter Ray of Harper, KS and Bobby Joe Ray of Parsons, KS; three daughters, Berniece Coffey of Summersville, MO, Bonnie Larchey of Braman, OK, and Juanita Sue Hanks; daughter-in-law, Laura Ray of Harper, KS; brother, Jack Waggoner; sisters, Verla Armstrong, Maxine Phye, Caroline "Corky" Ferda, Bernadine Smith, and Marie "Tiny" Weichring; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at the Argonia Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Pastor Ed Hughlett will officiate. A family pot luck dinner will follow the service at the Plains Church at the intersection of 140th Road and Highway 160.

Visitation will be held at the Argonia Cemetery on Thursday, March 11, 2010 from
10:00 – 11:00 A.M.
