Mary Margaret Hester, age 52, of Florence, South Carolina passed away at her home on Thursday, September 4, 2008. She was the property manager of Southern Pines for the past 12 years in Florence, SC.

Mary Margaret (LaFary) Hester was born on September 30, 1955 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Margaret Foley LaFary Vondracek and the late Harold Mike LaFary.

Survivors include her husband, Chris W. Hester of Florence, SC; daughters, Jennifer Barnes and her husband Andy of Florence, SC and Michelle Chandler and her husband Clark of Houston, TX; mother, Margaret LaFary Vondracek of Wellington, KS; sister, DeeAnn Lyon and her husband Amil of Norman, OK; step-daughter, Kelsey Hester of Florence, SC; step-sons, Chase Hester of Florence, SC and Eric King and his wife Deborah of Knoxville, TN; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Father Andrew Heiman will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, September 9, 2008 from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:30 – 7:30 P.M.
