Obituary
Mary L. Kotchavar, age 76, of Wellington, KS went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, February 24, 2008. She passed away at Sumner Regional Medical Center. Mary worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for many years at the Wellington Hospital before retiring in 1994.
Mary L. (Brattin) Kotchavar was born on April 17, 1931 in Ridgeley, MO to Farris Brattin and Fannie Jane (Frazier) Brattin.
Mary married Clarence J. "Ralph" Kotchavar on November 14, 1946 in Ridgeley, MO. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, fishing, and spending time with her great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence J. Kotchavar, and one son Clarence L. Kotchavar.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard Kotchavar and John Kotchavar both of Wellington, KS; two daughters, Shirley Fox and her husband Clifford of Wellington and Sherry DeJarnett and her husband John of Grove, OK; one sister, Connie Moore of Springdale, AR; nine grandchildren, Tim McCombs of Wellington, KS, Michelle Cornett of Newburgh, IN, Derek Kotchavar of Winfield, KS, Travis Fox of Wellington, KS, Eric Kotchavar of Eureka, KS, Clinton Kotchavar of Lawrence, KS, Paula Soeder of Grove, OK, Kristen Kotchavar of Wellington, KS, and Bryan Kotchavar of Kansas City, KS; 11 great grandchildren, Ericka McCombs of Siminole, OK, Ariel Kotchavar of Wellington, KS, Grace Cornett of Newburgh, IN, Derick Kotchavar, Wellinton, KS, Zais McCombs, Arkansas City, KS, Audrey Cornett of Newburgh, IN, Luke Kotchavar of Haysville, KS, Zia McCombs of Arkansas City, KS, Addison Fox, Wellington, KS, Lydia Soeder, Grove, OK, and Colten Kotchavar of Pratt, KS.
Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Robert Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 – 9:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
