Melvin E. (Mel) Meyer, age 77, of Haysville, KS, retired Insurance Safety Engineer/USD 261 Custodian, died July 12, 2012.
Visitation will be held at Frank Funeral Home in Wellington, KS on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Memorial Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, KS. Chaplain Charles Klassen will officiate.
Melvin E. Meyer was born on August 18, 1934 in Wichita, KS to Frank E. Meyer and Zelda G. (Moon) Meyer.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Gwen Meyer; daughter, Dana Lineback (David); sons, Daniel Meyer (Monica), Timothy Meyer, and Troy Meyer (Brandy); sister Janille Ritchie (Alan); sisters- in- law, Patricia McFadden (Paul), Helen Horsch (Jim) and Juanita Eros (Ron); 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Avenue of Flags in Wellington, KS and Amedisys Hospice Care. Contributions can be left at or mailed to Frank Funeral Home, 417 N. Washington, Wellington, KS.
