Michael C. Rayl, age 67, loving father and grandfather, passed away at his home in Wellington, Kansas on December 23, 2022. He was a lead machinist for Spirit AeroSystems for 32 years.

Michael Charles Rayl was born on August 4, 1955 in Wellington, KS to Charles A. Rayl and Marilyn J. (Lane) Rayl.  He was raised in Wellington and graduated from WHS with the Class of 1973.

Mike married Tammy S. Russell on July 17, 1979. Together they celebrated almost 33 years of marriage before she passed away in June of 2012.

Mike had three daughters, Mistie, Stormie and Crystal. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson, Blake. Anyone that knew Mike knew his love for Baseball.  Summer vacations meant Kauffman Stadium and the Kansas City Royals. Baseball was on the TV at all times and during baseball season many of his friends were at his house doing baseball score sheets for hours and then playing poker.

Wednesday nights were reserved for Pizza Hut with his daughter, Mistie.

After retirement and the passing of his wife, Tammy, Mike relocated to Vero Beach, Florida with daughter, Crystal, son in law, Jeremy and his only grandson, Blake Niblack.

He fiercely loved Blake and actively played a role in every aspect of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Tammy (Russell) Rayl, and two daughters, Stormie Rayl-Zimmerman and Misty Rayl.

Survivors include his daughter, Crystal Niblack, son in law, Jeremy Niblack and grandson, Blake Niblack; two brothers, Richard Rayl and Anna and Darrin Rayl and his wife Naomi; uncle, Ronnie Rayl; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his dog, Lucky.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington, Kansas.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
