Mildred Blanche Thomas, age 93, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Serenity Senior Retreat in Wellington.

Mildred Blanche (Harris) Thomas was born on March 17, 1924 in Wellington, KS to Verner George Harris and Gladys May (Davis) Harris.

Mildred married Glen Henry Edward Thomas on December 11, 1941 in Wichita, KS. He preceded her in 1978.

She enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Mildred was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Trainman Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen; and brother, Richard Harris.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Erwin and her husband Phil of Wellington; grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders and her husband Wes of Wellsville, KS and Rance Erwin and his wife, Laura of Ottawa, KS; great grandchildren, Jay Thomas and Kylee Sanders of Wellsville, KS and Cole Thomas and Claire Erwin of Ottawa, KS.

Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor James Byers will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M.
