Patricia M. Robinson, age 83, of Wellington, passed away on November 30, 2022 at Botkin Care & Rehab in Wellington. Through the years Pat worked in retail at TG&Y and J C Penney and also for USD #353 in the cafeteria.
Patricia M. (Metzen) Robinson was born on August 11, 1939 in Wellington, KS to Clarence J. Metzen and Barbara (Strunk) Metzen. She was raised in Mayfield and was a 1957 graduate of Wellington High School.
She married Darle D. Robinson, Jr. on April 12, 1958 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Wellington.
She was an avid bowler and loved quilting, gardening, and canning. She enjoyed vacationing and traveling especially to Alaska and Hawaii. They attended the Missouri Valley Tournaments for several years. She especially liked spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and attending all their various activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother, Sis Metzen; two sisters, Marilyn Cook and Betty Lucas; two brothers in law, Raymond Rusk and Pete McCartney; and two nephews.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Darle Robinson of Wellington; three children, Joyce Robinson, Kathy Ledesma and her husband Pat, and Jay Robinson and his wife Lori all of Wellington; brothers, Dennis Metzen of Wellington, John Metzen and his wife Susan of Independence, MO, Raymond Metzen and his wife Terrie of Wellington, Ron Metzen and his wife Linda of Mayfield; sisters, Sheryl Sheppard and her husband Larry of Seymour, TN and Darlene Metzen of Clearwater; sister in law, Darlene McCartney; brother in law, Mike Robinson and his wife Sunni all of Wellington; three grandchildren, Taryn Bulger and her husband Ryan, Devin Robinson and his wife Hannah, and Nathan Metzen and his wife Lyndsey; and seven great grandchildren, Wesley and Calvin Bulger, Aubree, Evelyn, and Breckyn Robinson, and Meryn and Lane Metzen.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Christian Church on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Sallie Shore will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 1:00 – 7:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
Memorials have been established with the Wellington Public Library and the Wellington REC Commission in lieu of flowers. Memorials can be mailed to or left at the funeral home.
