Obituary
Paula Jean Jones, age 71, passed away at William Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield, KS on Friday morning, November 7, 2008. She was self employed as the owner of Paula's Tax Accounting Service in Wellington, KS.
Paula was born on December 18, 1936 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Pauline and Allie Paine, Sr. and E. W. Riley all of Oklahoma.
Paula was a beloved wife and loving mother and she was treasured by all of her grandchildren. She was a master gardner, loved to cook, and for the past eight years enjoyed her retirement on Table Rock Lake before she went to be with her Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Daryl Jones of Lampe, MO; one son David Winn and his wife Cissy of Bellaire, TX; three daughters, Cathy Sheets and her husband Daryle of Winfield, KS; Susan Weiser and her husband Tim of Irving, TX, and Marcia Bartelson and her husband Mike of Winfield, KS; eight grandchildren, Spencer and Andrew Winn, Shannon Johnston and Sunni Sheets, Melanie and Rudy Weiser, Malorie Bolton and Mitch Bartelson, and three great grandchildren, Abigail and Luke Johnston and Joslin Bartelson; one brother, Allie Paine, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Norman, OK; Paula's family with Daryl also includes three daughters, Teresa Mackamul of El Dorado, KS, Marla Baker and Susan Vogelsberg of Topeka, KS; seven grandchildren, Cassie Aberle, Brian Baker, Misty Rochfeld, Brent Baker, Toby Williamson, Lindsay Williamson, and Riley Swan; and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Milan Cemetery, rural Milan, KS. Fred Stocking will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday evening, November 8, 2008 from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. and 9:00 A.M. to Noon on Sunday. The family will be present to greet friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
A memorial has been established with Mount Olivet Freewill Baptist Church in Blueye, MO. Contributions can be left at or mailed to Frank Funeral Home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
