R. Marvel Tracy, age 89, passed away at her home in Wellington on June 24, 2009. She was a homemaker and a retired Para-Educator with USD #353.

R. Marvel (Chiles) Tracy was born on July 10, 1919 in St. Claire County, MO to Roy Elmer Chiles and Minnie Lee (Davis) Chiles.

She married Mack William Tracy on February 21, 1942 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death on January 25, 1992.

Marvel was active with friends and family, enjoyed baking and cooking, reading, and volunteering in church and school activities.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mack; and three sisters.

Survivors include her three children, "Bud" Mack Tracy and his wife Cindy of Wellington, L. Jill Worford and her husband Lewis of Goddard, KS, and Joy Johnson and her husband Kent of Harper, KS; sister, Erma Stewart of Wellington, KS; seven grandchildren, Cristi Tracy of Tarpon Springs, FL, Bryan Tracy and his wife Krishelle of Wellington, KS, Tim Tracy of Broomfield, CO, Lori Wilkinson and her husband John of Wichita, KS, Audra Gonzales and her husband Sonny of Wichita, KS, Reuben Worford and his wife Jennifer of Wichita, KS, and Patrick Johnson of Harper, KS; 15 great grandchildren, Derrick, Tristton, Kayla, Brooke, Mackinze, Alexis, and Timothy Tracy, Sonja and Sasha Wilkinson, Alex and Izaac Gonzales, Shawn, Haley, Taton, and Isabel Worford.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church. Pastor Don Bryant will officiate.

Private Family interment will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2009.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 4:00 – 5:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
