Obituary

Rheba Mae Moore, age 86, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and Wellington area resident for most of her life, passed away at Riverview Manor in Oxford, KS on Saturday, July 5, 2008.

Rheba Mae (Helm) Moore was born on October 21, 1921 in Augusta, Kansas to Austin M. Helm, Sr. and Laura M. (Halterman) Helm.

Rheba M. Helm married Philip D. Moore on September 5, 1940 in Newkirk,Ok.

Rheba enjoyed needlework, knitting, reading and arts and crafts. She particularly liked traveling in their RV to visit relatives and see the countryside. She was a circle chairman for the First United Methodist Church for many years and worked in the kitchen for church dinners. She and Phil were Sunday school teachers for a Young Adult group and she was also a member of the Home Culture Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Michael P. Helm.

Rheba is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Phil of the home in Wellington, KS; their children and chosen children, Mindy Byington of Desloge, MO, J. Brandon Moore of Overland Park, KS, Tim Robertson and his wife Sharron of Derby, KS, Becky Stratton-Deal and her husband Jack of Wichita, KS and C.B. "Buddy" Robertson III and his wife Linda of Wellington, KS; one brother Dr. A.M. "Bud" Helm of Belle Plaine, KS and one sister Mickey McClure and her husband Bob of Arkansas City, KS; eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 10:30 A.M. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Belle Plaine Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with Hospice Care of Kansas and United Methodist Youth Fellowship. Memorials can be mailed to or left at the funeral home.
