Rita LeAnn Johnson, age 55, of Chickasha, OK passed away Monday afternoon, June 3, 2019 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS.

Rita LeAnn (Walton) Johnson was born on August 26, 1963 in Wellington, KS. She graduated in 1981 from Deer Creek-Lamont High School.

She enjoyed spending time with her husband and family, camping, fishing, traveling, crocheting, and the Oklahoma Sooners. She was also a John Wayne fan.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Engelhardt; one brother, Marvin L. Walton, Jr.; aunt, Elaine Freeman; step-father, Charles Engelhardt; step-sister, Kimberly Rogers.

Survivors include the love of her life and soulmate, Steve Johnson of Chickasha, OK; one son, Clint Weber and his wife Shellye of Wellington, KS; two daughters, Amanda Carter and LaTisha Kelly both of Blackwell, OK; brothers, Dale Walton, Sr. and his wife Cindy of Bourg, LA and Eugene Engelhardt of Tonkawa, OK; sister, Vanda Neely and her husband Randy of Mayfield, KS; step-brother, Kevin Rogers of Salina, KS; step-mother, Shirley Burt of Salina, KS; uncle, Wendell Freeman and family; 13 grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A memorial has been established with Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
