Robbin Louis Alder, age 78, of Auburn, NE, formerly of Humboldt, NE, passed away November 13, 2020 at the Beloit Medical Center in Beloit, KS.
Robbin was born on May 8, 1942 in Pratt, KS to Rudyard Tarkington "R.T." Alder and Stella Viola (Moskal) Alder. Robbin attended St. Anthony's grade school in Wellington and graduated from Wellington High School with the Class of 1960.
He proudly served in the United States Army with the First Infantry Division as a Communication Sergeant. Robbin attended Kansas State University where he received his under graduate degree and then a Masters Degree in Poultry Science. He was a 1966 member of the KSU Poultry Judging Team.
On May 31, 1969 Robbin married Marilee Ann "Cookie" Traylor.
In 1971, he accepted a job with Cooper's Feeds in Humboldt, NE, where he worked until 2000.
Robbin was an Eagle Scout and helped others achieve that distinction. He was honored to receive several scouting awards including a District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. Robbin was an active leader of St. Mary's Church in Dawson, NE. He was a founding member of the local Knights of Columbus Council and served as the first Grand Knight.
Robbin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marilee; sister, Virginia "Ginger" Alder; grandson, Seth Huston; and granddaughter, Carrie Alder.
Survivors include his children, Sherry Huston of Omaha, NE, Stacy Alder of York, NE, and Ryan Alder and his wife Christina of Beaver Crossing, NE; sister, Peggy Alder-Miller of Norristown, PA; brother Randall "Randy" and his wife Ruth of Harper, KS; grandchildren, Jocelyn Huston and Reid Huston of Omaha, NE, Mickey Sampson of Lincoln, NE, Katraina Alder and Malakhi Alder of York, NE, and Lathen Alder of Oregon; nephews, Dr. Joseph Henry Hancock II and Raymond of Norristown, PA, Sam and his wife Tina Alder of Wichita, KS, Quincy Alder and his wife Karla of Ledville, CO, Andy Alder and his wife Laura of Littletown, CO; cousins, Charlene Moskal-Burgess and her husband Bill of Euclid, OH, Mary Ann Watts and her husband Charles of Eudora, KS, Heather Barta of Ellsworth, KS, Carolyn Sue Hardy of Stratton, NE, and Tim Cole and his wife Leah of Edmond, OK.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Prairie Lawn Cemetery. Father Mike Maybrier of St. Anthony/St. Rose Catholic Church will officiate. Military honors will be provided by the United States Army Honor Guard of Ft. Riley, KS.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
