Obituary

Robert (Bob) Lon Lockwood of Wellington was born October 6, 1954 in Sterling, Colorado and died July 23, 2020 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Born in Sterling, Colorado to Victor and Betty Lockwood, Bob graduated from Greeley High School, Greeley, Colorado in 1973.

Bob and wife Karilyn (Jones) met while working at Hewlett Packard in Loveland, Colorado.

Bob worked at Big Dog Motorcycles and in Security at the Kansas Star Casino for many years. Bob had just started working at the First Christian Church when he became sick. He transferred his membership to this church when they moved to Wellington and said many times it was one of the best things he had ever done, he felt at home.

Bob and Karilyn were happily married. They enjoyed being together in everything they did whether it was on the Harley or trips to Mexico or flipping a house or acting as chaperone to Karilyn and her friends.

Bob is survived by his wife Karilyn of the home; daughter, Kathryn and husband Mark Hartfiel of Katy, TX; son, Ryan and wife Taryn of The Woodlands, TX; Chase Norton and wife Lauren of Fort Collins, CO; Linsey Norton and Andy Speagle of Fort Collins, CO; sister, Patricia Lockwood of Wellington; grandchildren, Marie, Claire, Lucy and Kolby Hartfiel of Katy, TX; Paige, Riley, and Madison Lockwood of The Woodlands, TX; Elise Norton and Ezra Speagle both of Fort Collins, CO; step-grandchildren, Emilee, Hannah, and Olivia.

He enjoyed good times with all of his nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many many friends.

He always welcomed you into his home or out on the deck. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Private family Memorial Services will be held at the First Christian Church. Pastor James Byers will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in lieu of flowers. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.

Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
