Robert Lee Moorhead, age 90, passed away Monday afternoon, June 25, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. He was a retired truck driver for Santa Fe Trail Transportation Company.

Robert Lee Moorhead was born on February 9, 1922 in Numa, Oklahoma to Milton Bert Moorhead and Mabel Harriette (Broetz) Moorhead.

Robert served during WWII with the Army Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Loring "Babe" and Lewis Moorhead.

Survivors include his nephew, Lewis C. Moorhead of New Castle, Delaware; niece, Margaret Vanover of New Castle, Delaware; cousin, Lela Patton of Medford, Oklahoma; two great nieces; three great nephews; two great great nieces; two great great nephews; and one great great great nephew.

Military Graveside Services will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. American Legion Chaplain, Doug Smith, will officiate.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Memorials have been established with the Avenue of Flags and the American Legion. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
