Ronald Leon Johnson, 80, passed away on October 8, 2014. Ronnie was born on August 27, 1934. He worked at Boeing for 46 years as a storekeeper in the Production Control Area.
Ronnie was a champion golfer and loved all sports, especially his Wellington High School Crusaders. He was a fixture at many football games wherever they may have been played. Ronnie put a lot of miles on his black Corvette driving to sporting events and concerts. He loved old cars and was known for his passion for old Fords.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Leon Johnson; mother, Pearlie Darbro Johnson; sister, Sheila Johnson Miller; and great-grand nephew, Deacon Hume.
Survivors include his sister, Yvonne Kloefkorn (Merle) Tucson, AZ; niece, Autumn Hume (Dave) Tucson, AZ; nephew, Curt Kloefkorn (Lori) Tucson, AZ; niece, Linda Kloefkorn Goddard, KS; nephew, Mike Miller (Mary) Wichita, KS; niece, Kelly Shipps (Bob) Monett, MO; and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 10, 2014 from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Private family services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
A memorial has been established with the Nazarene Church. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
