Obituary
Rose F. Smithback, age 98, of Littleton, CO, formerly of Wellington, KS passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Cherrelyn Health Care Center in Littleton, CO. She had been a resident of Colorado for the last several years, moving from Wellington to be near her daughter, Joan.
Rose F. (Staley) Smithback was born on September 29, 1909 in Milan, KS
to George and Minnie Staley.
Rose F. Staley married Norman A. Smithback on September 6, 1930 in Wellington, KS. He preceded her in death in 1976.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; one son, Bill Smithback; and one daughter, Judy Smithback.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan Bruce of Centennial, CO; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Private burial has been held at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington, KS.
Frank Funeral Home was entrusted with the local arrangements.
