Obituary

Rosetta Lola Lynch, age 89, of South Haven, KS, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away January 7, 2021 at Rock Regional Hospital in Derby, KS.

Rosetta Lola Fiene was born on April 11, 1931 in Rural Caldwell, KS to Henry Fiene and Reatha (Cowell) Fiene. Rosetta grew up in the Caldwell area and graduated from South Haven High School in 1949. After high school she worked at JCPennys in Wellington, KS where she met her husband, Robert Lynch.

Rosetta married Robert Leroy Lynch on July 5, 1952 in Wellington, KS. They had celebrated 56 years of marriage before Robert passed away in January of 2009. To that union three children were born.

Rosetta quickly settled into the farm life. She drove wheat trucks during harvest, while making lunches and maintaining her home. She loved spending time with her family and friends, embroidering, sewing, gardening, playing cards at the Senior Center and crossword puzzles. She was a member of the South Haven United Methodist Church and enjoyed helping with the Lord's Acre Supper and other church activities. Recently she began enjoying Tupperware and nail parties with her daughters and granddaughter. She also loved picking out new colors for her manicures.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Reatha Fiene; her husband, Bob Lynch; and her brother, Delbert Fiene.

Survivors include her son, Mark Lynch and Sheryl Carroll of South Haven, KS; two daughters, Sharon Struble of Derby, KS and Betty Charles and her husband Brian of Salina, KS; sister, Aldean Rafferty of Missouri City, TX; three grandchildren, Alyssa Butler and her husband Mark, Josh Struble and his wife Angie, and Christa Settle and her husband Chipper; four great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in South Haven, KS. Pastor James Byers will officiate.  The service will be streamed live on Facebook.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.

To protect our friends and family, masks are required at the service and please practice social distancing.

A memorial has been established with the South Haven Senior Center in lieu of flowers.  Contributions can be left or mailed to Frank Funeral Home.
