Ruby C. Carroll, age 91, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2011 at Riverview Manor in Oxford, KS.

Ruby C. (Phillips) Carroll was born on November 17, 1919 in Milan, KS to Luther E. and Marjorie E. (Stephens) Phillips.

Ruby married Lynn Carroll on February 19, 1940 in Medford, OK. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1983.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynn; two brothers, Erby Phillips and Hubert Phillips; two sisters, Dorothy Harper and Ella Meridith; and step-mother, Nola Phillips.

Survivors include her two children, Ron Carroll and his wife Linda of Wellington and Rita Ornsby and her husband Johnny of Greenbrier, AR; seven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Argonia, KS on July 21, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. Deacon John Schlickau will officiate. Interment will follow the service at the Argonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 from 1:00 - 8:00 P.M. The family will be present to greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

A memorial has been established with the Alzheimers Association. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
