Obituary
Sharlene A. Berger, age 81, passed away early Sunday morning, July 6, 2014 at Riverview Manor in Oxford, KS.
Sharlene A. (Abel) Berger was born on September 8, 1932 in Hominy, OK to Joseph
Carl Abel and Jewel May (Marlar) Abel.
Sharlene married Vernon A. Berger on February 12, 1971 in Nobel County, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vernon; twin brother, Charley Abel; two sisters, Mary McGummery and Dorothy Murrell.
Survivors include her three children, Jerry Tooman and his wife Leota of Wellington, Janice Falls and her husband Fred of Wellington, Rebecca Ferrara and her husband Paul of Redondo Beach, CA; sister, Ruby Prouthy of Ponca City, OK; grandchildren, Brandi Rae, Jacob, Brent, and Jessica; five great grandchildren; Goddaughter, Susan Johnson; special friends, Linda and Gary Berger; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Frank Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor Brent Clayton will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Sumner Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 1:00 – 8:00.
In honoring Sharlene's wishes, the casket will remain closed.
A memorial has been established with the Alzheimer's Association. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
Frank Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
