Sherrie Tucker passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was 81 years old.

She was born August 1, 1933 to Robert Cantrell and Josie (Heflin) Cantrell in Winfield, KS. She graduated from Winfield High School and attended Southwestern College. She married Robert Hancock of Wellington, KS in 1951. They had one daughter, Carol Ann Hancock. Robert Hancock passed away in 1952. Sherrie married Adrian tucker in 1956. They had three children, Robert, David, and Sharon. Adrian passed away in 1990.

Sherrie worked at the Boeing Company, was manager at the Adamar Inn, and worked in the office at Lamar Electro-Air. She retired at the age of 70 years. She was known for her loyalty and work ethic. She loved KU sports, crocheting, and her animals.

Survivors include her children, Robert Tucker and Susan of Topeka, David Tucker of Wichita, Carol LeJuerrne and Richard of Wellington, and Sharon Lallman and Kenneth of Topeka; grandchildren, Rick and Martha LeJuerrne and their children, Bella, Caroline and Joe of Topeka, Shelly and Lance Anderson and their children, Natalie, Josie and Pierce of Andover, and Tim and Jenny Watts and their children, Cadence and Carter of Topeka.

In honoring Sherrie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society. Contributions can be left at the funeral home.
